Romero Tagi is a proud Sāmoan hailing from the villages of Satapuala and Samatau in Upolu, Sāmoa. He lives in Manukau and is a proud husband to his wife Nova and father to his daughters Florence and Mileta.

Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business and another in Sport & Recreation at the Auckland University of Technology, Romero has elevated his career working in the different roles in the private and public sector and serving in the community.

Romero is passionate about influencing better outcomes for Māori and Pasifika in Aotearoa. As a business owner himself, he is dedicated to working with grassroot communities and emerging businesses to provide more opportunities for Māori and Pasifika to thrive.

He is a firm believer in the Sāmoan proverb “O le ala i le pule o le tautua”, “The pathway through leadership is through service”. Through service he understands the importance of upholding the richness of Māori and Pasifika values without compromise.

He believes in authenticity and being true to your values is the key in closing the inequities for Māori and Pasifika in Aotearoa.
